St Kevins Boys 50th Anniversary Celebrations

As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations a mass was celebrated in the Holy Child Church,
Whitehall at 11.15am yesterday March 22nd for all Club Officials, Mentors and Players past and present over the last fifty years.

We officially begin our 50th anniversary celebrations on Monday March 23rd in the upstairs lounge of the Comet Pub, Old Swords Road, Santry where a calander of events to mark the year will be unveiled. A special book capturing some of the events of the first 50 years of St Kevins Boys will be launched at this event. Former St Kevins Boys and Irish International player Liam Brady will be in attendance.

On the playing side of our 50th celebrations we are hosting an invitational Schoolboy Tournament for under 12′s. The six teams taking part will be: West Bromwich Albion, Hull City A F C, Aberdeen F C, Coventry City F C a Dublin & District Schoolboy selection and our own current under 12 Premier team. All games in this tournament will take place on our main Club pitch at Shanowen Road over this coming Easter weekend – April 10th – 12th inclusive with games starting at 12 noon on the Friday and Saturday and 11.00am on the Sunday.

On the 22nd of May a golf classic will tee off in the Royal Dublin Golf Club, the cost per team of four is €650 which will include a meal and each hole can be sponsored for €100.00.

We are holding a black tie Gala Ball at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry on May 30th where up to five hundred guests will be in attendance. Some tickets for this event are still available at a cost of €100.00 each.

We are also revamping our website and hope to have the new site up and running on May 1st.

As part of our recent link-up with Liverpool FC we are staging a Summer Soccer School on July 17th 18th 19th incin the Royal College of Surgeons Grounds, Cloghran wherecoaches from Liverpool FC
will oversee three days of coaching ,games and competitions. Entry is open to players aged 6 to 16 years, the fee is €120.00

A fun day for all younger members will take place in September on a date to be announced also the club presentation is due to take place in October with time and date to be decided.
