13 PREMIER JOIN 14 PREMIER AS LEAGUE CHAMPIONS …. 12′s NEARLY THERE!!

The 13 Premier got the points they needed last night to clinch the League title when they  played  main rivals Malahide Utd in Shanowen Road. Despite being a goal down at half time they came storming back in the second half with goals from Thomas Tiernan – with his first touch having come on as a substitute, 2 from Sean Goulding and the fourth from Paddy Obijoru. They showed great character to come back in their last two league games following their unfortunate defeats in both the DDSL Brady Cup and SFAI Troy Cup over the past fortnight.

  With their closest challengers St Josephs Boys going down surprisingly to St Malachys and by virtue of their own hard fought 5-4 win over Stella Maris our 14 Premier team clinched the DDSL League title on Saturday last and they can make it a double when they eventually play the final of the DDSL Thunder Cup later this month. 

Our 11 Premier won 6-0 on Saturday against  Templeogue Utd to make it two wins in a week and they need maximum points in the remaining games to do the League  and SFAI Cup Double. They got over their next hurdle last night against  Home Farm in Mobhi Road with a fine 3-1 win.

Our 12 Premier drew 1 – 1  against main rivals Templeogue Utd on Saturday but failed to get the 1 point from 2 games that they need to win the League when they surprisingly lost 1-2 last night away to Lucan United. They still have one game left away to Home Farm to get that elusive point to add the league title to their recent DDSL Ryan Cup win.

Also seeking their cup and league double are our 11.3 Brenfer Premier team who earlier this month won the Brenfer Haughey Cup and following their recent away draw against Dingle United they only need one win from their two remaining games to win the League title.

 
Our first teams season ended on a disappointing note when they lost 0-1 to Killester United in the Leinster Junior Cup Final on Saturday night last in Tolka Park. They went behind early on to a goal from former SKB player Darren Kavanagh and despite coming close on numerious occasions they could not level it up and so suffered defeat in this final for the second time in three years.
