/> This a well deserved win in a hard fought cup tie in what was generally a game of two halves. SKB goalkeeper Ronan Jones was the early hero saving a Crumlin penalty in the fifth minute and from then on the visitors dominated the exchanges going ahead through a Richie Purdy goal before the break. On the resumption the home side took control and leveled things up 10 minutes into the second half and looked sure to increase their tally such was their dominance at that stage. A straight red card for Dan Tobin soon after made the SKB task all the harder but they dug in well and saw the game out without further concession. In the extra-time they had a different look about them and Anto Breslin saw good effort from a header just go the wrong side of the post with the keeper beaten however soon after a fine effort by Sean Goulding was only parried away by the Crumlin keeper and Paddy Obijuru was on hand to smash home the loose ball for the winner, Crumlin piled 10 players forward in the last 5 minutes to no avail and a place in the final was secured against Malahide United next month.

In Ringsend Park on Friday night our first team came from behind to beat St Pats C Y 3-2 in the sem-final of the Leinster Junior Cup and so qualify for their third final in four years, Stephen Larkin, Lar Dunne and Alan Talbot were the goalscorers. This is a very busy and important week for the first team as they play Sheriff Y C away (6-45pm) in a top of the AUL Premier A table clash on Tuesday and St Paul’s Artane at home (6-30pm) on Thursday in the quarter-final of the AUL Liddy Cup.

Our 13 Premier made it a double cup final appearance for the second year running when they beat Mountview Boys (3-2) in the Liam Brady Cup semi-final at Shanowen Road in tight game, having gone 2 up they were pegged back to 2 – 2 but straight from the kick-off Ryan Graydon hit back to score the winner.

At Ellenfield our 12 Major continued their great run this season by beating Crumlin United in the semi-final of the DDSL Ryan Cup, they went 3-0 up through a Sean Imasuen hat-trick and looked to be coasting before Crumlin pulled 2 back but Ben Bell scored a fourth to ease the pressure. We are the holders of this cup having won it last year with our 12 Premier so it will be a great achievement if we could retain it next month with our 12 Major.

Over in The Lawn we relinquished hold of the DDSL Thunder Cup when our 14 Premier lost (3-2) to Cherry Orchard in the semi-final.

Our 16 Premier booked their place in the final of the DDSL McGrath Cup when they overcame their cup bogey team – Shelbourne F C at Shanowen Road. After a first half of few clearcut chances Eoghan Stokes opened the scoring with a fine header from a well worked corner kick and Aaron Ashe finished the game as a contest when he volleyed in superbly on the half-turn following another corner from Dylan Kavanagh.

5 TEAMS INTO NATIONAL CUP FINALS.
<link

The final against Crumlin United is fixed for Whitehall on May 6th at 1pm.

In the Leinster Youth Cup semi-final our 18 Super lost 1-0 to Bohemians F C at Wards Cross, this was an extremely close game and we were left to rue a succession of missed chances that might have brought about a different result.

Another super result came from our 12 Premier team who traveled to Cork and defeated Temple United 5-0 in the semi-final of the S F A I Norton Cup. They have played away in Mayo, Wexford and Swords in the three previous rounds so they have certainly have plenty of miles on the clock going into the final next month against main DDSL rivals Crumlin United.
